The best part is watching the kids reaction as they realized we weren't doing an actual music set....

Little people...big film festival

We are having an event called Little People, Big Film festival in March...i'm so excited.

It's an outreach event...so we challenged our students to team up with students not in our ministry and make a video less than 3 minutes long that includes a gnome.
It can be funny....serious....sarcastic...whatever!

Some students are doing music videos with their gnomes...one group is doing a spanish soap opera.
Then the point is to invite them back to our event on the 4th to announce the winner and get them connected to our ministry!

Should be awesome.

SO excited!!!!

My friend Jason Petty is coming to Savannah to speak at our leader retreat this weekend.
I am SO excited.
I love Savannah but it's so strange to be in a place where no one really knows you.
I cannot wait to see a familiar face :)
I'm excited for our leader retreat too...J is such a good motivator and communicator.
He totally bridges the gap between the audience and speaker.
He'll be great for our leaders!
Should be a great weekend!!!

More christmas olympics...

So we had this staff christmas party where we each had to bring a gift between $15-$25
most people got giftcards or something cool like that...
i got this.... you can't tell but its embossed with gold glitter and carved out of one solid piece of wood.

You might be asking yourself,
"What does one do with such a treasure?!"
Well i'm glad you asked....

doug: the deer...for dinner on friday.
me: I'M SORRY....we are serving deer to our students?
doug: yes
me: do we tell them?
doug: no
me: whhhhhhy???
doug: cause its free, one of our volunteers is a hunter.
